the San Diego area to serve the health needs of gay and lesbian patients as
"The Owen Clinic" in honor of William F. Owen, Jr., M.D. |

at its Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, the American Society of Internal
Medicine named William F. Owen, Jr., M.D. as the recipient of its 1988
Special Recognition Award, in honor of his work with patients with human
immunodeficiency virus. |
